Dr Vagic, MD is a board certified internal medicine physician, AAHIVS HIV specialist and a WPATH member, with extensive experience in transgender, nonbinary and gender diverse care.

I finished my internal medicine residency in New York City in a hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical School; worked as a hospitalist at an intensive/cardiac care unit in Canada; collaborated on published peer-reviewed research; worked in primary care in underserved communities in Northern California; and for many years, at the Los Angeles LGBT Clinic in Hollywood. I’ve seen and treated over 1000 gender diverse patients.

My first transgender patient, whom I met more than 10 years ago in Chico, started my unexpected journey into gender medicine. She was patient, knowledgeable and supportive of me!  I’ll never forget her approach. In the era of medicine when doctor and patient relationships are almost mechanical, time limited, dehumanized due to so many constraints from the system, I met someone who actually empowered me! The knowledge, inspiration and inclusion I got from the trans community and physicians who identify as transgender in Northern California stayed deeply with me, enriched by SO many diverse people I’ve treated and met in Los Angeles. I feel I’ve been very lucky to get to know this vibrant city core. I have a strong desire to give to those who inspired me.

My own ideal clinic is now open and I’m practicing medicine as my patients and I have always imagined. Direct care with direct communication, where we shape our appointments together.

As an internal medicine physician, I treat patients 18 years and older. Currently accepting new patients in California.
